ILAG

ILAG is a company from Switzerland that specializes in surface treatments of the very highest quality. As a company, ILAG is one of the leaders in its field in Europe. ILAG has over 100 employees at locations around the world.

Over the past 50 years, ILAG has developed special surface treatments with very high performance for a challenging global market. For the last 35 years, the company ILAG has dealt with non-stick coatings within the baking and kitchen industry. The company has used that knowledge and experience actively to gain a foothold in the technical sector, where the demand for quality coatings with high performance has grown significantly within the last ten years.

Particularly in the technical sector, extremely high demands are placed on the surface treatments. In addition to functionality, appearance and protection, it is also a condition to be able to supply coatings to the technical industry that the surface treatment is resistant to mechanical influences such as high friction.

Because ILAG's surface coatings are so corrosion resistant and possess so many different qualities, they can be used on everything from aircraft components, weapon systems, slide rails, manufacturing machinery, industrial robots, offshore technology, wind turbines and much more.

Series

ILATECH® K2

ILATECH K2 is a coating with versatile functions. The coating consists of two components, which are mixed before application. ILATECH K2 is the result of a reaction between OH-resistant materials such as polyacrylates and isocyanate-containing compositions. After heating and a subsequent interacting reaction, a polyurethane network is formed. By integrating between the 2 components, a wide range of properties is created. A significant advantage of this coating is its ability to create material interactions at relatively low temperatures. Some material interactions are already formed at room temperature. In this way, costs in connection with heating can be reduced. In addition, it simultaneously creates the possibility of applying the K2 coating to temperature-sensitive materials, including various composite materials. Despite the low requirements for heating during curing, ILATECH K2 has good abrasion resistance as well as chemical stability and UV resistance. With the right preparation of the surface, an exceptionally good adhesion to all common materials can be achieved. Applications include outdoor applications, as well as temperature-sensitive materials. In addition, it is possible to modify the ILATECH K2 and incorporate additional properties.

ILATECH® P

The ILATECH P series is based on the PAI technology (Polyamidimide). The coatings contain a high mechanical strength and are chemically resistant. In addition, they possess excellent thermal properties. With the right preparation, ILATECH P products can be applied to many different materials. ILATECH P has exceptionally good adhesion on most metal surfaces and is therefore also often used as a primer. Depending on the curing temperature, ILATECH P is used for low friction or complete non-stick applications. ILATECH P thus offers a wide range of properties, and can therefore be a solution within diverse applications in various industries. ILATECH P-coatings are used in everything from medical applications, to cutting objects, within food applications and the automotive industry.

ILATECH® PR

The products in the ILATECH PR series are free of NMP and are based on solvents. ILATECH PR coatings impress above all with their excellent corrosion and chemical resistance as well as a strong adhesion to the vast majority of surfaces. With relatively low curing temperature of 240 °C [464 °F], metallic surfaces can be gently coated. The simple processing required, the consistently high quality and ease of handling make the coating attractive for a high number of applications by manufacturers worldwide. Advantages of products from the ILATECH PR series are quality and performance proven over the years, excellent cutting properties and availability in dark, gray and yellow colors. Hardened steel and aluminum surfaces without the need for sandblasting are typical areas of application. Because of its excellent corrosion protection, the coating is typically used in piping systems, on blades, or even as a protective primer layer before adding more functional coating layers.
