The soft touch paint gives the surface a matte, soft and rubbery appearance. With only 30-40 µm, it is also suitable for most requirements for low tolerances, e.g. for joints or threads. As a bonus, this paint is also extremely flexible and elastic. In other words, the soft touch paint will bend with the surface and not "break" if the surface is flexible.
Our soft touch paint is a solvent-based two-component effect paint that is suitable for many types of surfaces. Soft touch can be applied to many materials, so contact us to find out more about soft touch for your product.
In order to be able to apply to the different items, they each require a special primer. Each primer is available in a RAL color or in transparent. By transparent base colour, it is understood that the final result will be able to see the material's original expression, color and any grain in the wood or the sanding marks in the metals. Soft touch is extremely matte. It is measured right down to 1 gloss units v. 60°.
The soft touch paint can either be cured at room temperature or in an oven. Then if you have a material that cannot withstand heat, e.g. wood or plastic, we can handle that too. However, it must be said that if the paint is cured in the oven, it will make the surface more chemically resistant and generally more durable. Soft touch has good chemical resistance when cured at room temperature and high chemical resistance when cured in an oven.
Our soft touch paint is not ideal for subjects that are outside all the time. The formula has a low UV resistance, which means that the expression can change with prolonged exposure to sunlight. A motorcycle helmet will primarily be used outdoors, but after driving it will come back inside, and this should therefore not have a major impact on the pigments in the paint. Whereas a mailbox that is always outside will fade over time.
