Cerakote

Cerakote is a well-known brand that operates as a separate division under NIC Industries. NIC is an American company that is an industry leader in thin film ceramic coating. Cerakote is best known in the aerospace and defense industry, but is used in all industries worldwide.

Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating with incredible properties, which is available down to a layer thickness of 13 µm. HAI Cerakote is available in over 200 different colours, including gold, silver and bronze. In addition to coloring, it is also possible to apply clear lacquer to aluminum and magnesium workpieces, where the surface is either raw, brushed, polished or anodized.

Cerakote can be applied to materials such as aluminium, titanium and polymer. The unique formula of Cerakote improves a number of parameters within the physical properties, including wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength and hardness. Each of these properties is carefully tested to guarantee that Cerakote products are and remain the market leader in ceramic coatings. Cerakote's ceramic coatings use the latest technology to perform any competitive coating, both for military and everyday applications.

Series

Cerakote Elite Series

The Elite series has the highest performance thin film ceramic coating on the market. The Elite series has a layer thickness of 13-28 µm, which makes it ideal for low tolerances. Cerakote Elite is therefore particularly suitable for low tolerances such as fine mechanics and threads, or where the weight must be kept down. The Elite Series guarantees unmatched wear resistance, corrosion resistance and chemical resistance, as well as a friction level that surpasses Teflon®.

Cerakote H series

The H series is Cerakote's most widespread color palette with hundreds of colors to choose from, including aluminium, gold, silver, copper and more. This series can withstand temperatures of up to 300 degrees, and has excellent corrosion protection, good chemical resistance and an extremely long service life. The H series has a layer thickness of 25-51 µm and can be adjusted in gloss.

Cerakote C series

The C series has been specially developed to withstand high temperatures, and at the same time has an extremely high chemical resistance. As the C-series can be cured at 20 degrees Celsius, it is also ideal for application to objects that cannot withstand thermal curing such as glass fibre, polymer and more.

Cerakote Glacier

The Glacier series is a smaller product group that has been developed to withstand extreme temperatures and at the same time be color stable up to 1000 degrees Celsius. It is ideal for the application of exhausts and other engine parts that are exposed to high temperatures.

Cerakote MC-5100 Clearcoat

Clearcoat is a specially developed clear coat for the application of aluminum and magnesium workpieces, where the surface is either polished, brushed or raw. This clear coat is applied with a layer thickness of 6-13 µm, which means that it preserves the expression of the material. It is also protected against oxidation and does not fade over prolonged exposure to light.
