Coloring is a treatment that is used when there are special requirements for the aluminum's color expression. With HAI we control the coloring very precisely in the process, which ensures a uniform appearance every time and design possibilities.
Anodizing aluminum leaves a transparent and natural anodizing layer, but combined with various pre-treatment processes and dyes, color, gloss and texture properties can be tailored to the exact desired visual expression.

Organic coloring is the simplest, as these colors are ordinary pigments that are dissolved in water, and the color penetrates the pores during a dipping process.
Electrolytic dyeing is more complex, as this uses electricity to draw metal salts down into the pores, which thereby give different colors with play in tones and heat.

Blowing is an effective mechanical pre-treatment that is used when there are special requirements for the aluminum's structure or hardness. Blasting leaves a nice, uniform and matte surface at the same time, the treatment can to a certain extent remedy machining surfaces, grinding marks, tensile and heat streaks, which are visible on the raw material. This is due to changes in the material structure, which achieves the more uniform surface and with a matte appearance before further processing.
HAI offers several different blowing media with different roughness in the structure to give the uniform surface a broken structure.
We have different variants of blowing agents, where depending on the desired result, you can choose between; glass beads, precious corundum, stainless steel balls, stainless steel grit and mixed blasting agent.

The treatment takes place in a closed cabin, where our operators blow fine grains of glass against the aluminum blanks. This achieves a uniform surface and a nice finish on the entire item.
