Hard anodizing is an effective treatment that is used when there are special requirements for the aluminum's corrosion resistance.
Hard anodizing is a special variant of anodizing that meets industrial requirements in terms of wear resistance, density, hardness, friction, electric breakdown field strength and corrosion resistance.
In addition to industrial standard treatments, we offer specific types of hard anodizing, where you can choose between our 3 types: Type 2000, Type 6000 and Type 7000.
With hard anodizing, aluminum is treated in one of our special process vessels with the aim of building an oxide layer which protects aluminum against corrosion, mechanical impact and the penetration of foreign elements.
With hard anodizing, depending on the alloy and hardness, you will get a light brown to dark gray colour, which can be dyed black. Standard hard anodizing will, in contrast to traditional anodizing, give a rougher surface.
Hard anodizing is a special variant of anodizing, and with HAI we have control over our hard anodizing processes. HAI has the equipment to provide the right hardness. µm is not just µm. We have hardness tests done at regular intervals, so that we always make sure, and we can document that we are market leaders. Depending on the alloy and the process, 50 µm hard anodizing can produce a hardness of 300-500 HV (Vickers hardness). Hard anodizing is used, among other things, for cylinders, gears, bearings, piston rods and clutch discs, and the impression of metal is preserved.

Blowing is an effective mechanical pre-treatment that is used when there are special requirements for the aluminum's structure or hardness. Blasting leaves a nice, uniform and matte surface at the same time, the treatment can to a certain extent remedy machining surfaces, grinding marks, tensile and heat streaks, which are visible on the raw material. This is due to changes in the material structure, which achieves the more uniform surface and with a matte appearance before further processing.
HAI offers several different blowing media with different roughness in the structure to give the uniform surface a broken structure.
We have different variants of blowing agents, where depending on the desired result, you can choose between; glass beads, precious corundum, stainless steel balls, stainless steel grit and mixed blasting agent.
We have a blowing agent that suits your needs regardless of the application or the physical characteristics of the component.
The treatment takes place in a closed cabin, where our operators blow fine grains of glass against the aluminum blanks. This achieves a uniform surface and a nice finish on the entire item.
Blowing is a pre-treatment process that can be equated with other mechanical pre-treatments such as grinding, brushing and polishing.
HAI can blow glass profiles up to 8 meters in a continuous plant and offers economically advantageous glass blowing in fully automatic plants.
