Covering can be chosen for many reasons. The needs may include continuity, tolerances and double treatment.

HAI has a number of customers who have covers made in order to take advantage of the differences between anodizing and passivation.

Some of the hedging technologies HAI uses are quite simple, such as plugs and heat-resistant tape to cover holes and surfaces with. For extremely complex tasks offers HAI also a flexible and chemical resistant rubber skin that can be adapted to almost any product.

HAI® offers professional covering of aluminum blanks with varnish before anodizing or alodine treatment. We ensure a clean surface and precise coverage, and use only the best materials and technology. Varnish is more adaptable than other shielding products, and has a high resistance to heat and chemicals. We would never recommend that you apply varnish yourself to cover, as it requires precision and great know-how, otherwise you will get results where the varnish is either not attached properly or applied evenly.

HAI® offers professional covering of holes and areas on aluminum blanks with special tape before anodizing or alodine treatment. We ensure a clean surface and precise coverage, so that your aluminum workpiece is ready for processing. The special tape that we use for covering is designed specifically to adhere tightly to the surface and prevent liquid from penetrating under the covering. After treatment, the cover is easy to remove and leaves no residue. The tape is versatile and can be used on a wide range of surfaces and sizes and can also be adapted to different shapes and sizes.

HAI® offers an effective solution for keeping holes on aluminum blanks sealed with silicone plugs during the anodizing or alodine treatment. Our specially developed silicone plugs come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are designed to ensure a tight fit and prevent stain residue from entering the holes. With our silicone plugs, you can be sure that your holes will remain tight and protected throughout the process. Our experienced employees will ensure that the plugs are used so that your aluminum blanks achieve the best protection and quality.

We also offer masking using a stencil, which is another effective method of ensuring precise masking of desired areas on the surface of your aluminum blank. Capping Stencil includes increased precision and control over capping shape and size. This gives a more uniform and professional finish to your finished product. With stencils, you can easily transfer beautiful patterns to your aluminum sheets. With stencils and glassblowing, you can create works of art for decorative or functional purposes.

Blowing is an effective mechanical pre-treatment that is used when there are special requirements for the aluminum's structure or hardness. Blasting leaves a nice, uniform and matte surface at the same time, the treatment can to a certain extent remedy machining surfaces, grinding marks, tensile and heat streaks, which are visible on the raw material. This is due to changes in the material structure, which achieves the more uniform surface and with a matte appearance before further processing.

HAI offers several different blowing media with different roughness in the structure to give the uniform surface a broken structure.

We have different variants of blowing agents, where depending on the desired result, you can choose between; glass beads, precious corundum, stainless steel balls, stainless steel grit and mixed blasting agent.

The treatment takes place in a closed cabin, where our operators blow fine grains of glass against the aluminum blanks. This achieves a uniform surface and a nice finish on the entire item.

Blowing is a pre-treatment process that can be equated with other mechanical pre-treatments such as grinding, brushing and polishing.

HAI can blow glass profiles up to 8 meters in a continuous plant and offers economically advantageous glass blowing in fully automatic plants.
