Dry polishing of workpieces takes place either in a batch process, where the workpieces are mechanically vibrated through a dry polishing medium, or by individual clamping, where the workpieces are dragged through the dry polishing medium.
Mechanical dry polishing produces smooth surfaces and will have a smooth and glossy surface after treatment.
Dry polishing is typically used for decorative items and machine components.
Dry polishing of workpieces takes place either in a batch process, where the workpieces are mechanically vibrated through a dry polishing medium, or by individual clamping, where the workpieces are dragged through the dry polishing medium. Dry polishing is also called drag polishing. The process time per batch is a minimum of 12 hours.
The polishing medium can be impregnated with different polishing pastes depending on the metal to be polished. Items that are dry polished are often pre-treated with vibration deburring.
Blowing is an effective mechanical pre-treatment that is used when there are special requirements for the aluminum's structure or hardness. Blasting leaves a nice, uniform and matte surface at the same time, the treatment can to a certain extent remedy machining surfaces, grinding marks, tensile and heat streaks, which are visible on the raw material. This is due to changes in the material structure, which achieves the more uniform surface and with a matte appearance before further processing.
HAI offers several different blowing media with different roughness in the structure to give the uniform surface a broken structure.
We have different variants of blowing agents, where depending on the desired result, you can choose between; glass beads, precious corundum, stainless steel balls, stainless steel grit and mixed blasting agent.
We have a blowing agent that suits your needs regardless of the application or the physical characteristics of the component.
The treatment takes place in a closed cabin, where our operators blow fine grains of glass against the aluminum blanks. This achieves a uniform surface and a nice finish on the entire item.
Blowing is a pre-treatment process that can be equated with other mechanical pre-treatments such as grinding, brushing and polishing.
HAI can blow glass profiles up to 8 meters in a continuous plant and offers economically advantageous glass blowing in fully automatic plants.
