Deoxidation is a pre-treatment process which helps to clean the items. The second function of the process is to break down the oxide layer that naturally builds up on aluminum surfaces.
Chemical deoxidation is a process where only the natural oxide layer that sits on the surface of the aluminum is etched. Contrary to chemical pickling, a milder result is achieved both in terms of removing scratches and cleaning the surface.
Because deoxidation is so gentle, it leaves an almost untouched surface. Most often, it will appear with a very slightly matted surface.
This treatment is really good for more gentle subjects, such as e.g. machine parts, technical articles or decorative articles where you want to retain the original dimensions.
Deoxidation is often used in technical anodizing, where the workpieces are processed in excess. When the items are anodized, they fit in relation to the specified tolerances.
Purely decorative, deoxygen is used when you want as natural an expression as possible.

Blowing is an effective mechanical pre-treatment that is used when there are special requirements for the aluminum's structure or hardness. Blasting leaves a nice, uniform and matte surface at the same time, the treatment can to a certain extent remedy machining surfaces, grinding marks, tensile and heat streaks, which are visible on the raw material. This is due to changes in the material structure, which achieves the more uniform surface and with a matte appearance before further processing.
