The degreasing is a necessary pre-treatment, used to remove substances such as oil films, dirt and other process-inhibiting impurities.
If there is oil, dirt or paint on the surface before e.g. pickling or anodizing, you will find that imprints, shiny surfaces and discolorations can occur, which affect the finished result.
The degreasing is a fixed part of the pre-treatment of aluminum blanks, as this is the first step in cleaning the surface before the further process. A clean surface is vital for the further process, as dirt stuck to the workpiece will hamper the subsequent process steps.
Before further processing, the items are rinsed, air-dried and checked through so that they are clean and ready to be further processed.
Degreasing is a mild alkaline solution and involves a limited amount of mass loss and deterioration of gloss on aluminum blanks. If high gloss is a parameter of high importance, is HAI also capable of handling such tasks, however this will involve more careful cleaning.

Blowing is an effective mechanical pre-treatment that is used when there are special requirements for the aluminum's structure or hardness. Blasting leaves a nice, uniform and matte surface at the same time, the treatment can to a certain extent remedy machining surfaces, grinding marks, tensile and heat streaks, which are visible on the raw material. This is due to changes in the material structure, which achieves the more uniform surface and with a matte appearance before further processing.
HAI offers several different blowing media with different roughness in the structure to give the uniform surface a broken structure.
We have different variants of blowing agents, where depending on the desired result, you can choose between; glass beads, precious corundum, stainless steel balls, stainless steel grit and mixed blasting agent.

The treatment takes place in a closed cabin, where our operators blow fine grains of glass against the aluminum blanks. This achieves a uniform surface and a nice finish on the entire item.
