Information / Worth knowing before anodizing / Suspension points
Specifically, the aluminum product is fixed in a suspension rack with clamps before it is surface treated by immersion in process baths. In the baths, current is transferred to the product as part of the treatment. The terminals leave a non-anodized mark – also called a contact mark.
Before the process can be initiated at HAI, we must have received drawings of the items with a clear indication of where the contact marks must be and what is visible and non-visible side.
In cooperation with HAI the optimal location of the clamps is determined so that they do not affect the final function and appearance of the product.
Here are examples of drawings with clear indication of contact marks and visible side. Get hold of us at HAI, if you are in doubt about the position of the contact marks.
