To protect the items before anodizing, they must be stored indoors before anodizing and in a relatively dry place. If this is not possible, we recommend a protective anodization of 5 µm or applying a foil, both of which prevent corrosion and therefore holes in the final anodization.
Protective anodizing partially protects workpieces from scratches and scuffs during processing (processes such as drilling, milling, punching). After processing, the protection is pulled off and the desired anodizing layer is applied. HAI can handle both the protective anodizing and the foil application.
Items for anodizing must be packaged upon delivery. The purpose of the packaging is to protect against scratches or scuffs, which easily occur in aluminium, which is a relatively light material.
Wooden frames that protect corners and edges.
Wrapped in cardboard with paper or plastic against the visible surfaces of the profiles and wooden frame
Any damage requires the workpiece to be ground and possibly brushed before the subsequent treatment. The pickling that takes place before anodizing can only partially remove a damage.
